Recently the first all-new 2017 Subaru Impreza rolled off the lines at Subaru of Indiana Automotive, Inc. (SIA), marking the official launch of the first-ever American-made Impreza. This production start marks the culmination of more than three years of preparation and investment Subaru has made to increase production capacity at the Indiana facility, highlighted by the addition of 1,400 associates over the past year.

With the addition of the Impreza, SIA will produce more than 380,000 vehicles annually, adding to the nearly five million associates have built since 1989. The plant’s high level of operational and production quality were influential in the company’s decision to shift the Impreza’s production to Indiana.

The all-new Impreza is the first Subaru built using the new Global Platform architecture that’s designed to enhance comfort, safety, agility and driving pleasure. Equipped with new driver assist technology, multimedia features and standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, the vehicle will be available in sedan and five-door models, with Base, Premium, Sport and Limited trim options.
